ENGAGE YOUR WORLD

LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW

Start where you are planted!

Making the most of each opportunity will help you develop according to your design.

Understanding the opportunities that are out there.

When you are learning and trying to figure out what you want to do with your life, understanding the opportunities available to you is helpful!

Service Learning

These Sherpa have wisdom that will help you grow where you are currently planted. These strategies will help you develop transferable skills, strengthen your community, grow valuable connections, inspire passions and determine or confirm which career path might be of interest while in high school.

None of us are perfect!

We are all broken and have deficits.

We all have different kinds of deficits.

We don't have everything we need and because of that we can see deficits in other people.

How can we help?

Sherpa Robert Davis knows about the needs of the community. It's part of his job! He knows current needs, what organizations are doing to help and how you can get involved. Activity

Get involved! Start by asking yourself what organization can you get behind. Use the tab below to make your own copy of the pdf in the next section titled: Volunteer Service Opportunities

On your won copy, highlight the organizations of interest.

(Using your own copy allows the links to be live, as well.)

Share your copy with your parent(s)/guardians/teachers or small group so they can become part of the process.

Just like a pilot needs the air traffic controller to help guide the plane staying connected to others through this process will be helpful.

Good communication is vital for a great take-off.

Create Your Own Project

Where are you in this journey when comparing it to Scott's Journey? First step, is to come alongside others that have a great vision to see how you can help. Second step, is to solve the problems others might not be addressing that you notice on your own! You will need to learn how to enlist others to do this over time. With synergy you can go further!

Grab some coffee and take a closer look at the example of the non-profit, The Meeting House for more direction.
